Nikolai, Alaska: In partnership with Atheneum School and village elder and Tanana Chiefs leader Nick Alexia, Media Action facilitated an artistic filmmaking summer camp to empower at-risk youth to creatively reconnect with and explore their Athabascan cultural heritage in Nikolai village.  Students learned video production skills (shooting, sound recording, story-boarding, etc.), and a special emphasis was placed on creative and artistic expression of cultural traditions through film.
